Energy Ministry: Russian Attack Damages Power Facility In Center Region Of Ukraine


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) A Russian attack on the night of June 19 damaged one of the energy facilities in the central region.

The Ministry of Energy reported this, Ukrinform reports.

"At night, the enemy attacked a power facility in the central region. There is damaged equipment. The State Emergency Service and Police were called to the scene," the statement said.

In addition, overhead lines and electrical equipment were damaged in the Lviv region as a result of a nighttime enemy strike, and 285 metering points were cut off.

The Ministry of Energy also reports that as of the morning of June 19, 3,700 consumers in the Zaporizhzhia region, almost 4,000 in the Sumy region, 37,300 in the Kharkiv region, 1,500 in the Chernihiv region, and 55,000 in the Donetsk region are without electricity due to the hostilities. In Kherson, 3,455 consumers remain without electricity, in the region - 25.8 thousand.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, 573 consumers were cut off from electricity due to technological reasons and hostilities.

During the day, power companies supplied electricity to more than 4,800 consumers in the Donetsk region, 7,400 in the Zaporizhzhia region, 1,074 in the Kharkiv region, and 133 in Kherson.
