Health Ministry, WB Project: Construction Of Central Hospital's Building Being Completed In Irpin

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) In Irpin, Kyiv region, a new stage of construction of the central city hospital's building has begun. This is a joint project of the Ukrainian Health Ministry and the World Bank.

According to Ukrinform, the Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported this on Telegram.

The event was attended by Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Liashko, Deputy Head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration Lesia Karnaukh, and representatives of the World Bank, district and city officials.

"We planned to open the facility in the summer of 2022, but the full-scale war prevented this. The hospital was damaged during combat clashes. Funds obtained from the Luxembourg Red Cross were used to restore it. Later, as part of a joint project with the World Bank, the construction was continued," the statement said.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Kyiv region will receive EUR 8.6 million from the Belgian development agency Enabel for shelters and the reconstruction of educational institutions.
