Ukrainian Cyber Specialists Attack Russian Airports, Several Flights Delayed - Source


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Specialists with the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) carried out a cyberattack on the websites of Russian government agencies and Russian airports on "Russia Day," with a number of flights being delayed.

A well-informed source in Ukrainian intelligence told this to Ukrinform.

"Attacks are being carried out on the resources of Domodedovo Airport, Gagarin Airport in Saratov, and the airport in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. As a result of the attack, flights are being delayed. In particular, passengers cannot fly out to Sochi, Bodrum, and Moscow. planes are diverted to reserve airfields in Samara or Ulyanovsk," the agency's source said.

Ukrainian intelligence officers also established control over the state server of the official website of the State Duma of the Stavropol Region of the Russian Federation and placed a banner depicting a red square with Ukrainian flags and the inscription "Hold on, we will liberate you!" The server was later taken down.

In addition, HUR attacked the servers of the Federation Council of the Russian Federal Assembly and the server of Russian government agencies.

"The so-called Russia Day continues. Putin's subordinates will have many more such 'gifts' for the holiday today," the source added.
