Cabinet Congratulates Kuwait Crown Prince

Doha: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani chaired the Cabinet's regular meeting held at its seat at the Amiri Diwan yesterday.

After the meeting, Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs H E Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi issued a statement. At the outset of the meeting, the Cabinet praised the outcomes of an official visit by Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to Cyprus and a state visit to Greece.

The Cabinet emphasised that the expanded and fruitful discussions that H H the Amir held with the leaders of the two friendly countries focused on developing and strengthening bilateral cooperation with them in various fields, in addition to issues of common interest, most notably the developments in the Gaza Strip and the Palestinian territories.

The Cabinet congratulated H H Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al Hamad Al Mubarak Al Sabah on the occasion of his appointment as Crown Prince of Kuwait, wishing him success, and the fraternal Kuwaiti people further progress and prosperity.

The Cabinet was informed of the Shura Council's approval of a draft law amending some provisions of the Qatar Financial Centre Law promulgated by Law No. 7 of 2005. The Cabinet also approved a draft decision of the Minister of Communications and Information Technology to extend the deadline for regularising the status of postal service providers subject to the provisions of Law No. 15 of 2023 promulgating the Postal Services Regulation Law.
