
Volume Of Joint Projects Between Uzbekistan, Russia Revealed
This was revealed during a meeting between President ofUzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Russia VladimirPutin.
Uzbekistan's president emphasized that the Russian president ismaking one of his first foreign trips to Uzbekistan after hisre-election.
During the meeting, the sides discussed further development anddeepening of Uzbek-Russian relations of comprehensive strategicpartnership and alliance.
Both officials noted the growing dynamics of trade and economiccooperation. The volumes of trade turnover and Russian investmentsin Uzbekistan are growing, and industrial cooperation isdeveloping.
The sides reached an agreement to establish Joint InvestmentPlatform to support joint projects by leading enterprises.
The presidents stated the importance of further development ofinter-regional cooperation.
Both leaders also talked about the development of mutuallybeneficial cooperation in energy, including nuclear energy,agriculture, innovations, migration, security and otherspheres.
During the visit the Program of Cultural Cooperation will beadopted.
Uzbekistan's president with Russian president paid attention tocooperation in the field of education and training of engineeringpersonnel. They reached agreements to open branches of the BaumanMoscow Technical University and the All-Russian Academy of ForeignTrade in Uzbekistan.
The heads of states also exchanged views on issues of regionaland international agenda of mutual interest.
