Uzbekistan, Tajikistan Hail Top-Level Strategic Partnership

(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, April 19. The Presidentof Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Chairman of Tajik SupremeAssembly's Lower House Mahmadtohir Zokirzoda hailed the highestlevel of multifaceted Uzbek-Tajik relations of strategicpartnership and alliance, according to the Uzbek president'sadministration, Trend reports.

The issue was discussed during meeting of Mirziyoyev withZokirzoda during the president's visit to Tajikistan.

Moreover, the meeting parties discussed issues of furtherintensifying inter-parliamentary exchange, effective contacts atthe level of relevant committees and regional councils to supportand promote cooperation projects and cultural and humanitarianprograms.

The parties also emphasized the important role of the MPs of thetwo countries in conducting an inventory of adopted documents andexercising parliamentary control over the timely implementation ofagreements at the highest level.

To note, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at theinvitation of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, is on astate visit to the country on April 18-19.
