3,521 University, Diploma Holders Joined VTC Vocational Training In 2024

Amman, Jan. 20 (Petra) -A total of 3,521 trainees enrolled in the Vocational Training Corporation (VTC)'s institutes in the 2023/2024 training program among holders of university degrees and diplomas for the current year, in addition to 4,968 holders of high school certificates.
Four Doctorate degree-holders, 100 Master's graduates, 2,378 Bachelor's alumni, 1,039 community college diploma holders, in addition to 32 people with special needs, registered in the VTC's training programs during the current year.
In remarks to "Petra," VTC's media spokesperson, Jamil Qadi, said the increase in the number of trainees, who hold academic certificates during 2024, affirms VTC's "vital" role in guiding youth and disseminating culture of technical and vocational work to keep pace with changes taking place in the labor market locally and globally.
Qadi stressed that the VTC is proceeding, in accordance with the Royal directives to develop the Kingdom's vocational training system and provide "sustainable" opportunities for youth, in partnership with various development sectors in all Jordan's governorates.
Educational and training programs in VTC's various professional and technical specializations cover a variety of skills and areas that meet the labor market's diverese needs, through 35 training institutes nationwide, which have 348 training facilities and 120 realted programmes.
Overall, over 10,000 trainees joined the VTC's various institutes for the training year 2023-2024, as the VTC seeks to increase awareness of importance of joining vocational specializations, per clear performance indicators by 2025 to reach a capacity of 30,000 trainees and raise employment rate to 90%, according to a VTC statement.
