Al Sulaiti Meets Members Of League Of Parliamentarians For Al Quds

Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council H E Dr. Hamda bint Hassan Al Sulaiti met yesterday with members of the 'League of Parliamentarians for Al Quds' led by President of the League H E Hamid ben Abdullah who are currently visiting the state.
During the meeting, they discussed a range of topics related to the parliamentary action, primarily the parliamentary efforts devoted to stopping the wanton Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and avenues to espouse the Palestinians' cause in the occupied Palestinian territories.
Within this framework, the two sides emphasised the importance of stepping up further efforts to stop the genocide being committed against the fraternal Palestinian people, in addition to the significance of galvanising the international community to take decisive steps to stop the persistent Israeli aggression.
In addition, the two sides underscored the significance of helping the Palestinian people regain their full rights, primarily the right to self-determination and establishing their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
In a related context, members of the League of Parliamentarians for Al Quds lauded Qatar's supportive efforts for the Palestinian people, along with its critical role in getting aid into Gaza Strip.
They also commended the efforts made by the Shura Council to espouse the Palestinian cause and protect the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, and the occupied Palestinian territories. The meeting was attended by a number of Their Excellencies members of the Shura Council.
