Number Of Internet Banking Transactions In Azerbaijan Hiking Up - CBA Chairman


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 26. Internet banking transactions in Azerbaijan increased by 15% year on year from January to September 2023, reaching 172 billion, Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) Taleh Kazimov said, Trend reports.

He spoke at the Critical Infrastructure Defense Challenge 2023 event.

"During this time, mobile banking transactions increased 2.4 times. The CBA's primary goal is to shape the transition from closed banking to open banking and open finance. As a result, it is critical to strengthen the work being done in the field of cyber security," Kazimov added.

The chairman also stated that the Central Bank and the State Service of Special Communication and Information Security will sign a memorandum today.

Critical Infrastructure Defense Challenge 2023 (Cidc-2023) is being held today at the Baku Congress Center under the joint organization of the State Service for Special Communication and Information Security and the State Security Service of Azerbaijan.
