(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Ukraine's defense forces repelled Russian attacks in the Kupiansk, Bakhmut and Avdiivka sectors, with 22 combat engagements recorded along the front line on Wednesday. According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in a situation update as of 18:00 on August 9.
Ukraine's offensive operation in the Melitopol and Berdiansk sectors continues. Ukrainian defenders are entrenching themselves on the achieved lines and carrying out counter-battery measures.
On Wednesday, Ukrainian aircraft launched 12 strikes on Russian invaders, including ten strikes on areas where military personnel, weapons and equipment were concentrated, one strike on an anti-aircraft missile system, and one more on a logistics hub.
For their part, Ukrainian rocket and artillery units hit three enemy command and control posts, five artillery pieces, an area of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, an electronic warfare station and another important target of the invaders.
