House Speaker Discusses Ties With Head Of Saudi Shura Council


(MENAFN- Jordan Times) AMMAN - Lower House Speaker Ahmad Safadi and Saudi Shura Council Speaker Abdullah Al sheikh on Tuesday met to discuss enhancing parliamentary cooperation to serve common interests and fulfill the vision of both kingdoms.

During the meeting in Riyadh, Safadi highlighted the deep-rooted relations between the two countries, led by his majesty King Abdullah and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. He also called attention to the continuous coordination between HRH crown prince Hussein and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

Safadi praised Saudi Arabia's remarkable achievements across various sectors and efforts in serving the Two Holy Mosques and their pilgrims, while Al Sheikh commended the close ties between the two countries.

During the discussions, both sides addressed topics of mutual interest, particularly in parliamentary-related issues, and emphasised the importance of enhancing bilateral coordination at all levels.

An invitation was extended to the speaker of the Saudi Shura Council to visit Jordan, which is expected to take place next month.

Safadi and the parliamentary delegation attended a part of the Saudi Shura Council session and met with the Saudi Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture. They are also scheduled to meet with several Saudi officials in the coming period.
