Edelman Makes Further Emea Leadership Changes


(MENAFN- PRovoke) LONDON - Edelman has made further changes to its leadership in EMEA, naming Jon Hughes as its new COO for the region. In addition, Edelman Germany CEO Christiane Schulz will take on an expanded role of regional client leader.

The moves follow the May appointment of Edelman EMEA chief operating officer and Amsterdam lead aj hesselink as emea president and chief executive , as Ed Williams moved into the role of international president.

In his new role, Hughes (pictured, left) will be responsible for greater integration and collaboration across the region and bringing Edelman's international strategy – focused on diversifying the agency's global revenue mix, as outlined by global coo matt harrington in an interview with PRovoke Media – to life.

Hughes, former EMEA and Asia CEO at Golin, joined edelman in 2021 as a senior client advisor, working with a number of Edelman's key clients and leading some of the largest new business pitches in the EMEA region and also working as part of Edelman Delta, the agency's specialist brand and strategy arm. Before spending nearly 15 years at Golin, he worked at Weber Shandwick and Ketchum.

As regional client leader, Schulz (pictured, right) will assume stewardship of Edelman's EMEA client portfolio, focusing on collaboration across the region and growth within the portfolio, working across specialisms, sectors and disciplines.

Schulz became ceo of edelman germany in 2019 and has built a leadership bench with particular strength in health, strategy and creative, as well as adding DAX-listed companies to Edelman's roster and growing several large German clients, such as Allianz, into international clients, Before joining Edelman, Schulz was CEO of Weber Shandwick Germany, and also held senior roles at Ketchum.
