Foreign Ministers Of Non-Aligned Movement Member States Strongly Condemn Burning Of Quran In Sweden Photos
(MENAFN- AzerNews) The Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement Coordinating
Bureau has been held at Baku convention Center, Azernews reports.
The event was moderated by Permanent Representative of
Azerbaijan to the United Nations Yashar Aliyev. Addressing the
meeting, Sudanese Foreign Minister Ali Al-Sadiq Ali, Syrian Foreign
Minister Faisal Mekdad, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein
Amir-Abdollahian, Qatari Minister of State for Foreign Affairs
Soltan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi, Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah
Mehmood Qureshi and others pointed out that the Non-Aligned
Movement is based on the“Bandung principles”. They noted that
these principles promote the territorial integrity of countries,
peace, peaceful resolution of conflicts and equality.
The ministers strongly condemned the burning of the Holy Quran
in Sweden on the first day of Eid al-Adha. The ministers underlined
that such criminal actions should not be allowed and should be
strongly condemned. They emphasized the importance of more active
struggle against manifestations of such Islamophobia.
The speakers also stressed the importance of the Non-Aligned
Movement and highlighted the organization`s capabilities. The
ministers underlined that the Non-Aligned Movement played an
important role in solving many problems.
The Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement Coordinating
Bureau will continue its work tomorrow.
