Demchenko: Russians Using Photos Of Evacuation Of People Conducted By Ukrainians In Kherson Region

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The Russian side does not evacuate people after the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant, instead using information from the Ukrainian side and passing it off as its own work.

Andriy Demchenko, a spokesman for the State Border Guard Service, said this on the air of the nationwide telethon "United News," Ukrinform reports.

"The cynicism of the Russian side is off the charts, because we see that they are not evacuating people in the required amount, instead they are using photos, including those of the State Border Guard Service, and passing them off as their own," Demchenko said.

He said that in total, the State Border Guard Service units involved in the evacuation of the victims evacuated about 100 people.

"Over the past day, there were 15 of them. In addition, aerial reconnaissance units are involved to identify people who need help," said Demchenko.

Earlier it was reported that on Sunday, June 11, the Russian army attacked a boat with civilians who had evacuated from the left bank of the Kherson region.

As reported, border guards recorded uncontrolled explosions of ammunition, which, along with fragments of household items and garbage, were carried into the Black Sea by water from the Kakhovka reservoir. The State Border Guard Service urges citizens not to take anything out of the water on their own.
