Three Wounded As Russians Yet Again Shell Flooded Kherson Amid Ongoing Evacuation


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The Russian invasion forces once again shelled Kherson during the evacuation from flood-affected areas, injuring three civilians, including a child.

That's according to the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's office , Ukrinform reports.

Under the procedural leadership of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the inquiry, on June 9 around 17:40, during evacuation, the Russian military opened fire at the city again.

As a result, three people were injured, including a minor girl.

Objects of civil infrastructure were damaged.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on the night of June 6, Russian troops blew up the dam of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station. The plant cannot be restored, the operator has stated. Evacuation of civilians from flood-affected areas is underway.

On June 8, as a result of Russian shelling in Kherson region, nine people were injured, including two operatives with the State Emergency Service, a police officer, a medic, and a volunteer from Germany.
