Jerash, June 9 (Petra) -- The President of the International Council of Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS-Jordan), Princess Dana Firas, held talks at Greater Jerash Municipality on including Jerash on the World Heritage List.
Princess Dana discussed with officials increasing meetings with members of the local community to have their support for the projects being implemented and involved in operating them and meeting their needs and interests.
She added that including the city on the list of world heritage sites would provide it with international protection and interest in more investments.
The Governor of Jerash, Firas Faour, said Jerash discussed the "importance" of focusing on the "free tourists" and ways to prolong their stay.
