Ukraine's Air Force Launches 24 Strikes On Russian Invaders General Staff


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Over the past day, Ukraine's Air Force launched 19 strikes on enemy manpower clusters, as well as 5 strikes targeting Russian anti-aircraft missile systems.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in its morning update published on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"In the past 24 hours, our defenders destroyed 10 enemy reconnaissance and 6 attack UAVs of various types. Units of the missile troops and artillery hit 2 command posts, 12 manpower, weapons and military equipment clusters, an ammunition depot, an anti-aircraft missile system, 12 enemy artillery units in firing positions, as well as 4 more important targets," the report says.

In the past day, the enemy launched 4 missile attacks and 64 air strikes, as well as 64 MLRS attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, except for the destroyed infrastructure, civilian casualties were reported.

The threat of further missile attacks and air strikes across the entire territory of Ukraine remains very high.

It is noted that the enemy continues to focus its main efforts on attempts to fully occupy Luhansk and Donetsk regions. In the past 24 hours, more than 40 combat engagements took place.

In the Kupiansk direction, Kolodiazne, Krasne Pershe, Novomlynsk, Kutkivka, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Kyslivka, Berestove in Kharkiv region and Novoselivske in Luhansk region came under enemy artillery and mortar strikes.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in Bilohorivka area, Luhansk region. Airstrikes on the districts of Nevske in Luhansk region and Spirne in Donetsk region were recorded. Nevske, Bilohorivka in Luhansk region and Verkhniokamianske, Torske, Spirne, Rozdolivka in Donetsk region came under artillery fire.

In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the area of Ivanivske. A Russian missile struck a residential quarter in Komyshuvaha, destroying residential buildings. Airstrikes on Toretsk and Bila Hora districts in Donetsk region were recorded. Areas of settlements of Vasiukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Khromove, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Stupochky, Bila Hora, Dyliivka and New York in Donetsk came under enemy artillery shelling.

In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy attempted an assault on Avdiivka, as well as Severne and Nevelske, but had no success. Airstrikes on Avdiivka area in Donetsk region were recorded. Novokalynove, Avdiivka, Lastochkyne, Severne, Pervomaiske, Karlivka and Nevelske in Donetsk region were subjected to enemy artillery shelling.

In the Maryinka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled numerous enemy attacks on Maryinka city, inflicting significant losses on the enemy. Estimated losses of the occupiers over the past day in this direction alone came to about 70 killed and more than 100 wounded. 17 units of enemy equipment were also destroyed. At the same time, the enemy carried out airstrikes on Maryinka, and used artillery to shell the settlements of Hostre, Heorhiivka, Maryinka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region.

In the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia directions, the enemy continues to conduct defensive operations. The Russian forces launched an air strike on Beryslav, Kherson region. The enemy used artillery to shell Burlatske, Novosilka, Zelene Pole, Novopil, Temyrivka settlements in Donetsk region; Olhivske, Poltavka, Malynivka, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Huliaipilske, Charivne, Bilohirya, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Preobrazhenka, Novoandriivka, Shcherbaky, Stepove and Kamianske in Zaporizhzhia region; Kozatske, Mykilske, Molodizhne, Dniprovske in Kherson region and the city of Kherson.
