Ministry Of Mines And Petroleum Grants Mining Licenses To 14 Individuals

(MENAFN- Khaama Press) Acting Minister of Mine and Petroleum, Shahabuddin Delawar, has given mining permits to 14 individuals during his visit to Baghlan province.

These licenses were mainly given to support the technical exploitation of the local mines.

Meanwhile, the acting minister clarified that these permits had been given to the people temporarily for a nine-month term.

The nine-month time frame will give a chance to the permit holders to demonstrate that they are following the mining Law and completing any obligation set by the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum.

For those who can operate according to the law and obligation of the Ministry, licenses will be extended.

Aminullah Ahmadi, the director of the coal enterprise in the north of the country, said there are mines in 400 locations in Baghlan province.

The Ministry has the right to revoke and adjust the license terms if any violations are found during the monitoring procedure or if they are considering it against national interests.

The Ministry wants to encourage ethical and sustainable mining methods in Baghlan by maintaining strict control.
