Carrefour Qatar announced yesterday that it has won the prestigious award of 'Best CSR Initiative in the Retail Sector' in Qatar, in a recognition by the Qatar CSR Summit 2023, which just concluded its conference and exhibition in Doha.
The Qatar CSR Summit 2023 is organised in cooperation with Qatar University, Qatar's largest university, and held under the patronage of Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani. Minister of Social Development and Family H E Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad inaugurated the Qatar CSR Summit 2023 and gave its opening speech.
Through this award, Carrefour Qatar is recognised for its community involvement success, and its strategic relationship with the Education Above All (EAA) Foundation, through which, Carrefour Qatar succeeded in collecting more than QR10m of donations from the public to empower children's education in Qatar.
