Vistara Increasing Flights On Dhaka-Mumbai Route To Seven Weekly

Dhaka: India's one of the leading full-service airlines, Vistara, will increase frequency on Dhaka-Mumbai route from the current twice weekly to seven weekly flights from June 1, 2023, said Vinod Kannan, CEO of Vistara.

The announcement was made at a grand ceremony in celebration of the airline's anniversary held on May 14 at an elite hotel in the capital.

Md Mahbub Ali, State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism present at the event welcomed the decision saying the move will increase healthy competition among airlines operating on the route and in turn passengers will benefit largely.

Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism Secretary Md Mokammel Hossain, Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh Chairman M Mafidur Rahman, Vistara Vice President of Global Sales Kaizad Postwalla, CCO Deepak Rajawat, Country Manager Bangladesh Morgan D'souza and GSA in Bangladesh MAAS Travels of Rhythm Group's Chairman Ali Amzad Hossain, Managing Director Shohag Hossain and DMD Abir Hossain, Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Pranay Verma, and Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Bangladesh Essa Yousef Essa Alduhailan were also present on the occasion, among others.

The airline also awarded its top 25 travel agencies at the programme.

The grand event concluded with cultural performance by the renowned artist Runa Laila followed by gala dinner.
