Pakistan Thanks Saudi Arabia For Helping In Evacuation Of Its Nationals From Sudan

(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Islamabad, April 24, 2023, SPA – Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif expressed gratitude towards the Saudi leadership, as well as the Republics of Egypt and Türkiye, for their assistance in evacuating Pakistanis trapped in Sudan during ongoing clashes.
In a statement released on Monday by the Prime Minister's office in Islamabad, Sharif was said to be personally overseeing the emergency plan for the evacuation of Pakistani nationals from Sudan in light of the deteriorating security situation.
The government's emergency plan for the safe evacuation of Pakistanis from Sudan has so far resulted in the successful evacuation of approximately 427 individuals, who have been relocated to safe locations before being repatriated to Pakistan on special flights. In addition to this, friendly countries and Pakistani missions in the region have assisted in the evacuation of Pakistani civilians.
