OIC Welcomes Resumption Of Diplomatic Relations Between Qatar And Bahrain

Jeddah: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) welcomed the decision made by the State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Bahrain on resuming diplomatic relations, following the second meeting of the Qatari-Bahraini Follow-up Committee that was held in Riyadh.

Secretary-General of the OIC Hissein Brahim Taha said the decision reflected the GCC's commitment to mending rifts, which will help enhance cooperation and integration between the region's countries, realize its peoples' aspirations, and enhance joint Islamic work.
