GCC Secretary-General Welcomes Return Of Qatari-Bahraini Diplomatic Relations

Riyadh: GCC Secretary-General Jassim Mohammed Al Budaiwi welcomed the return of diplomatic relations between the State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Bahrain, which was announced following the second meeting of the Qatari-Bahraini Follow-up Committee at the headquarters of the GCC in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Al Budaiwi said that the step was borne out of the directives of Their Majesties and Their Highnesses GCC leaders at the Al-Ula summit held at the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in January 2021, which reflects the leaders' commitment to the future of the GCC and the relations of friendship, brotherhood, history, common destiny, and unity.
