Russian, Chinese Fms Discuss Ukraine, Afghanistan, Central Asia


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) MOSCOW, April 13 (KUNA) -- Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang and his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov on Thursday held talks on the latest developments of Ukraine, Afghanistan and Central Asia.
The talks were held on the sidelines of the 4th meeting of the Neighboring Countries of Afghanistan, held in Uzbekistan on Thursday, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
During the meeting, they commended the development of bilateral relations and strategic cooperation and voiced satisfaction with both sides' harmonious stances on pressing regional and international issues.
They also rejected any attempt to interfere into other countries' internal affairs or to impose certain positions on them by blackmailing and threatening, it said.
Senior diplomats of the seven neighboring countries including Pakistan, Iran, China, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, are gathering in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, to discuss ways of evolving a regional approach on the ongoing situation in the war-torn country. (end)
