(MENAFN) The State of Qatar participated in the 122nd session of the Permanent Council of the Francophonie, which was held virtually under the chairmanship of Secretary General of the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF), H E Louise Mushikiwabo. The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the French Republic and its representative to OIF, H E Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al Thani.
During the meeting, the decisions adopted during the 18th Summit of La Francophonie were followed up. In her opening speech, the OIF Secretary General expressed her gratitude to the State of Qatar for its support in financing "La Francophonie avec Elles." This initiative aims to support women in vulnerable situations in the Francophone space. She also noted her participation in the Fifth United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDC5), which was held in Doha from March 5 to 9.
