ICC Issues Arrest Warrant Against Putin


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BRUSSELS, March 17 (KUNA) -- The International Criminal Court (ICC) in the Hague Friday issued an arrest warrant against Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The ICC in a press release said Putin 'is allegedly responsible for the war crime of unlawful deportation of population (children) and that of unlawful transfer of population (children) from occupied areas of Ukraine to the Russian Federation.'
The ICC also issued an arrest warrant for another person, Maria Alekseyevna Lvova-Belova, Commissioner for Childrenآ's Rights in the Office of the President of the Russian Federation.
The court said she is 'allegedly responsible for the war crime of unlawful deportation of population (children) and that of unlawful transfer of population (children) from occupied areas of Ukraine to the Russian Federation.' (end)
