(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Fourteen Ukrainian soldiers have arrived in Kaunas, Lithuania, and on Tuesday began a four-day training course for using radars that were bought as part of the Radarom charity campaign. That's according to the news outlet delfi , Ukrinform reports.
Other Ukrainian soldiers will also undergo training in Lithuania, but their exact number is not indicated, the report said.
Jonas Ohman, the founder of the Blue/Yellow organization, said the acquired radars would be sent in batches to Lithuania and later delivered to Ukraine. According to him, these are the most advanced radars currently in use in the world, and they can 'see' even sniper bullets.
According to the report, EUR 14 million collected in Lithuania will be used to buy 16 radars.
The Radarom charity campaign to raise funds for military radars for Ukraine lasted in Lithuania from January 30 to February 24 with the support of five well-known Lithuanian public organizations.
