The index for February was reported at 254.8, representing a year-on-year increase of 11.1 percent. The bureau noted that the sub-index for development scale experienced a growth of 36.5 percent compared to the previous year. Furthermore, the monthly volume of parcels delivered is expected to have risen by 36 percent year-on-year while express delivery revenue increased by 38 percent. The sub-index for development capacity and trend both increased by over 8 percent year on year.

The State Post Bureau believes that China's courier sector will continue to maintain medium-high growth in March. By March 8th of this year, the delivery volume had already exceeded 20 billion parcels, which is 72 days earlier than the same milestone was achieved in 2019. The bureau sees this as a demonstration of the robust vitality of China's express delivery industry and the resilience and potential of the Chinese consumer market.
