Stranded Container Ship Refloated In Suez Canal


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, March 5 (KUNA) -- Egypt's Suez Canal Authority said the container ship that stranded in the waterway has been successfully refloated.
The MSC ISTANBUL was en route from Malaysia to Portugal when it broke down at the 78th km. of the watercourse, the Authority said in a press release tonight.
Four tugboats have managed to refloat the vessel, it added, noting that the accident had hardly any effect on navigation at this vital international shipping route. (pickup previous)
