HBKU Holds Graduate Open House

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) More than 200 prospective students interested in graduate studies attended Hamad Bin Khalifa University's (HBKU) Graduate Studies Open House. Held twice this academic year, the event provided potential candidates with opportunities to connect with key staff, learn about entry requirements, and much more.
Open House commenced with a welcome message from the provost Dr. Michael Benedik, as well as an overview of life on campus and non-academic opportunities by Student Affairs. The deans and professors of HBKU's six colleges were on hand to discuss 35 master's, Juris Doctor, and doctoral degree programmes as well as the university's inter- and multidisciplinary approaches to research and learning.
This was supported by breakout sessions that allowed participants to ask more in-depth questions and seek further clarification on course requirements. Staff from the Enrolment Office also supported proceedings with general advice on admissions.
Dr Benedik said: 'Students come to HBKU to work and learn from our globally recognised faculty. The advantage of studying at a research-intensive university is not to merely learn the facts but to experience for themselves how discoveries are made and applied in their respective disciplines. This cannot be learned from textbooks, but only by working side by side with world caliber faculty.”
The deadline for Qatari and residents in Qatar in order to be considered for financial aid (where available) will continue until March 15, 2023. More information about HBKU is available at
