Hajj Investment Fund's Profit At Jd13mln In 2022

Amman, Jan. 29 (Petra) -- The Hajj (an annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca) Investment Fund's profit during 2022 amounted to JD13.562 million, said Minister of Awqaf (endowments), Islamic Affairs, and Holy Places Mohammad Khalayleh on Sunday.
Making his remarks during a meeting with the board members, Khalayleh, who is also the fund's chairman, said the fund's net profit available for distribution topped JD10.9 million (4.14 percent) last year, which will be distributed to savers and secretariats of Hajj and Umrah affairs.
In 2021, the fund had JD218 million worth of savings, but it increased by 27 percent to JD295 million in 2022, the minister noted.
