European share markets end Tuesday with mixed figures


(MENAFN) European share markets ended Tuesday’s with mixed figures.

The STOXX Europe 600, which contains nearly 90 percent of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 nations, was lower by 1.11 points, or 0.24 percent, to reach 453.38.

The UK's FTSE 100 declined 27 points, or 0.35 percent, to close the day at 7,757. Germany's DAX 30 fell 9 points, or 0.07 percent, to stand at 15,093.

France's CAC 40, on the other hand, jumped 18 points, or 0.26 percent, to finish standing at 7,050.

Italy's FTSE MIB recorded a 62-point, or 0.24 percent, earn to close standing at 25,884. Spain's IBEX 35 jumped 23 points, or 0.26 percent, to close the session amounting to 8,967.

International benchmark Brent crude sold at USD86.58 a barrel as of 09.56 AM regional time (0656GMT), a 0.52 percent rise from the ending price of USD86.13 a barrel in the prior exchange session.

American benchmark West Texas Intermediate (WTI) exchanged at USD80.42 a barrel at the same time, a 0.36 percent earn following the prior day ended at USD80.13 per barrel.
