A man with a knife wounded several people at the Gare du Nord train station in Paris (Image/ REUTERS/Benoit Tessier) On Wednesday morning at the Gare du Nord railway station in Paris, a man attacked and injured six people, leaving one with severe and five others lightly wounded, a police spokesperson declared.
The attacker attacked with a homemade knife on the people, shot several pullets by off-duty police and was transported to the hospital with several injuries.
He was without identification paper and had said nothing during the attack; however, one of the six injured is a police officer, and others were travellers, CGTN quoted from Interior Minster Gerald Darmanin.
Gare du Nord is one of the busiest train stations and serves as a gateway to the north of Europe. A similar attack was made in February 2022 at the same station; police shot and killed the attacker.
In 2020 three people were killed in a knife assault at a church in Nice, which French President Macron described as an“Islamist terrorist attack.” the BBC reported.
The series of horrific knife attacks have increased in French recently, which has shaken the public.
