Some Matches Postponed In Coordination With Clubs Over Gulf 25 Tournament: QSL

Doha: Qatar Stars League (QSL) announced on Sunday that a number of matches in the upcoming rounds of the 2022- 23 season will be postponed in coordination with the clubs over some players' participation with their national teams in the 25th Arabian Gulf Cup (Khaleeji Zain 25), to be held from January 6 to 19 in Iraq's Basra.

According to the announcement, Week 8 matches will be held next Wednesday and Thursday, Week 9 will be played on January 11 and 12, and Week 10 on January 17 and 18.

In the Week 8, Al Duhail plays with Al Gharafa at Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium next Wednesday, Al Rayyan faces Al Sailiya at Hamad bin Khalifa Stadium, and the leaders Al Arabi against Al Ahli at the same stadium on Thursday.

The matches that were postponed are Umm Salal vs. Al Markhiya, Al Sadd vs. Qatar and Al Shamal vs. Al Wakrah. The Al Markhiya vs. Al Shamal clash in Week 9 was also postponed.

In Week 10, Al Sailiya vs. Al Markhiya and Al Shamal vs. Umm Salal will be postponed to April 25 in case Iraq advanced to Khaleeji 25 semi-finals.
