Kuwait Boasts Art, Cultural Asset - Media Forum Chief

KUWAIT, Dec 13 (KUNA) -- Art, culture, literature and creativity are all considered part of Kuwait's soft power and civilizational asset, said Secretary-General of the Arab media Forum Madhi Al-Khamis.
In a keynote speech during a Kuwait Creativity Award ceremony held on Monday evening, Al-Khamis said Kuwait has always been a beacon of creativity in all human fields, primarily sports, art, culture, media, development and urbanization.
He added that the Arab world is well aware of Kuwait's art and culture, and appreciates its creative figures, calling for effectively capitalizing on the presence of Kuwaiti dignitaries in the hearts of Arab people.
Khamis elaborated that Kuwait Creativity Award is mainly intended to upgrade media industry criteria in Kuwait and the entire Arab world only to match relevant international standards, and to boost the skills of media staff.
This year's award, he maintained, embraces a host of competitive categories involving distinction in public relations, social responsibility, creativity, trademarks, TV and radio programs and social media.
Three awards went to Kuwait TV, four to Zain Telecommunications Company, three to Kuwait Telecom Company (stc) and two to Solution Company. (end) fz.mt
