GCC Secretary General: The Relations Between GCC And India Are Historic


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) New Delhi, November 24, 2022, SPA -- Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf affirmed that the relations between the GCC and the Republic of India are historic, adding that the two sides are constantly striving to achieve more coordination and cooperation to face challenges and seize opportunities in all fields.
This came during a meeting between the GCC Secretary General and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of India, Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar today in New Delhi.
During the meeting, the importance of strengthening Gulf-Indian relations to serve common interests and the mechanism for intensifying cooperation in areas of common interest were discussed. The memorandum of understanding signed between the GCC Secretariat General and the Republic of India was also discussed.
The GCC Secretary General also affirmed that India is one of the largest trade partners of the GCC, asserting that this ambitious partnership seeks to create more new opportunities for the growth and prosperity of the Gulf-Indian economic and trade cooperation, in order to achieve mutual benefits.
