Turkey, Algeria to launch mutual oil, gas exploration firm

(MENAFN) Turkey and Algeria are going to start a mutual oil and natural gas exploration firm to work in naitons across the area, mainly in Algeria, Fatih Donmez, Turkish minister of energy and natural resources, stated on Thursday.
Both nations reached an agreement on the launch of a mutual firm among Sonatrach, the national oil and gas firm of Algeria, as well as Turkish Petroleum, Donmez informed Anadolu Agency.
Donmez, who joined the 2nd Algerian investment Conference as the guest of honor, talked about additional two sided measures in the sectors of energy and mining with his Algerian fellow, Minister of Energy and Mining Mohamed Arkab.
The two reached a deal to drive and back the mutual work and current mutual projects among both nations as well as the launch of the additional firm.
In 2021, Algeria and Turkey agreed on a mutual venture in the petrochemical sector, in which a petrochemical workshop was established in the southern Turkish town of Adana.
