Since Full-Scale Invasion, 978 Troops Liberated From Russian Captivity

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Since the beginning of the full-blown war, 978 Ukrainian military servicemen have been returned to Ukraine from Russian captivity.

SBU spokesman Artem Dekhtiarenko announced this at a briefing at the Military media Center, Ukrinform reports

'Since February 24, the Joint Center for the Search and Release of Prisoners of War, which involves members of the Security Service of Ukraine, State Protection Service, Ministry of Defense, and other agencies, has returned 978 defenders of Ukraine,' said Dekhtiarenko.

He noted that the details of these processes remain undisclosed as 'the exchange likes silence,' adding that any swap is preceded by hundreds of hours of preparation, clarification, and verification of facts, negotiations, etc.
