Arab Union For Camel Racing To Organise Heritage Sport Event During World Cup

President of the Arab Union for Camel Racing, Abdullah Al Kuwari, has announced that the Union will organise a heritage event related to the purebred Arab sport on the sidelines of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 from December 15 to 17.

In a press statement following the conclusion of the extraordinary meeting of the Union's general assembly held in Kuwait with the participation of 10 Arab federations, Al Kuwari said that the event, which will be held under the title 'Hejin and World Cup', aims to introduce global fans to the sport practiced by the forefathers in the Arab region.

He pointed out that the event will be a rare opportunity to highlight the role of camels in the lives of the people of the Gulf and Arab countries through the ages to the millions of fans who will be attending the World Cup, which is one of the greatest sports gatherings on earth.

He acknowledged the support of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy with the Arab Union for Camel Racing to make this cultural heritage sports event a success during the tournament.

The Union's Secretary General Dr. Hizam Nasser Al Maqareh said that the event will be interactive and of cultural and touristic nature, as it will include holding entertainment competitions for the followers of the World Cup.

Al Maqareh said that the visual identity of the Union was approved and there was a launch of the new logo inspired by the Arab heritage related to the Arabian camel and the Arabian desert during the meeting, as well as the launch of the new website, which includes all the information for the tournaments and events that the Union organises.
