HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz al-Thani paid an inspection tour to Hamad International Airport (HIA) and Doha International Airport (DIA) to further inspect the expansion and upgradation operations in the two airports and their readiness to receive the fans of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
HE the Prime Minister began the tour by visiting HIA where he inspected the new airport terminals, their utilities and equipment based on the state-of-the-art systems to facilitate the procedures of receiving the World Cup fans and guests of the country.
HE Sheikh Khalid also listened to an explanation of the working mechanism in the terminals and their storage capacity, in addition to the modern systems and services utilised there.
After that, HE the prime minister made an inspection tour of Doha International Airport during which he inspected the airport's preparations and the actions taken to facilitate the arrival of the fans attending World Cup tournament.
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior was accompanied by a number of senior officials.
