DHL Express, Daily Star Present 20Th Bangladesh Business Awards

Dhaka: DHL Express, the world's leading international express service provider, together with Daily Star, the leading daily newspaper in Bangladesh, presented awards to three winners at the 20th Bangladesh Business Awards, held on September 2, at the Radisson Blue Dhaka Water Garden in the capital.

Bangladesh Business Awards (BBA) recognises and celebrates excellence in business leadership in the country.

The awards ceremony recognises outstanding contributions to the business community in the calendar year 2021 across three categories. This year's awardees are:“Enterprise of the Year 2021” was awarded to PRAN-RFL group,“Best Financial Institution of the Year 2021”, was awarded to Bkash Limited, and“Business Person of the Year 2021” was awarded to MA Jabbar from DBL Group.

Minister of Planning MA Mannan was present at the event as the Guest-of-Honour. Ayman Sadiq, founder and CEO from 10 Minute School and Shahir Chowdhury, Co-founder and CEO from Shikho were the keynote speakers.

Addressing the audience at the awards night, RS Subramanian, SVP South Asia and Managing Director, DHL Express India, in his speech, said,“For the past 20 years, the Bangladesh Business Awards have honored the most outstanding accomplishments and contributions of business leaders in the nation. I have no doubt that we will be able to see and hear from the wonderful role models who have been boosting the nation's economy today.”

In its 20th year, the Bangladesh Business Awards was attended by some of the country's most influential people, business leaders and dignitaries. A pioneer among the awards ceremonies, BBA was established in Bangladesh in 2000 and within a decade has established itself as the most prestigious event in the Bangladesh business community. It aims to motivate businesses to become more competitive, and create an environment to achieve greater productivity, efficiency, financial discipline and modern management.
