Iran’s nuclear chief says balance, deterrence in JCPOA discussion improved


(MENAFN) Iran’s nuclear chief believes that balance and deterrence have been strengthened in the nuclear agreement revival meetings.

Mohammad Eslami, chief of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), stated on Monday that nuclear fuel cycle and the nuclear technology are seen as part of a country’s power, ISNA wrote in a report.

“Over the past 25 years, the Leader of the (Islamic) Revolution has repeatedly emphasized this issue, as well as the development of nuclear technology,” Eslami also said.

Luckily, in these years, the nuclear chief said, through the collaboration and efforts of the AEOI team, in addition to the Strategic Law on Lifting Sanctions, balance and deterrence in the JCPOA talks have been built up.

“We demand a return to (JCPOA) commitments and the lifting of sanctions,” he went on to declare.

To have a consistent strategy, Eslami declared, the AEOI has set and agreed on a comprehensive strategic document and tried to improve nuclear activities.
