Doha Metro And Lusail Tram To Operate Alternative Service On August 12

Doha Metro & Lusail Tram have announced certain updates for tomorrow, August 12, 2022, to its Red Line and Lusail Tram service.

In a twitter update , the metro stated that alternative bus services will replace its services on the Red Line only; whereas, Metrolink and metroexpress will continue operations as normal.

The replacement bus services will be used to facilitate the changes between stations as follows:

  • Al Wakra and Lusail QNB every 5 minutes.
  • HIA and Ras Abu Aboud every 15 minutes.

No replacement service will be served between Katara and Ras bu Fontas metro stations.

Doha Metro pointed out that the replacement bus services will operate from Al Wakra Bus Station platform 2.

It added that the M126 Metrolink will operate to and from the Free Zone (Entrance 2) every 20 minutes . 

However, other routes will operate as normal as well as metroexpress services.

Similarly, Lusail Tram services also will be replaced with alternative services, and tram users are advised to use the metrolink and metroexpress.

Doha Metro clarified that the alternative services may be used to travel to and from Lusail Marina and Fox Hills (South) as follows:

  • M147 Metrolink route to and from Qatar University Metro Station (Entrance 1).
  • Metroexpress to and from Legtaifiya Metro Station.
