Three Arrested Over Attack On PM's Private Residence

Three suspects have been arrested over the attack on Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe's private residence.
Mobs protested near his residence last night and came under attack by the Police and military.
Unknown individuals later set fire to the house and looted some of the items.
The attack on Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe's private residence drew strong condemnation.
Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa said that he joins all peaceful Sri Lankans in fiercely condemning the barbaric arson attack on Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe's private residence.
Tamil National Alliance (TNA) Parliamentarian M.A Sumanthiran also condemned the incident.
He said that violence will not solve anything and is counter-productive. (Colombo Gazette)
