Kuwait, 06 July 2022: Kuwait Telecommunications Company – stc, a world-class digital leader providing innovative services and platforms to customers, enabling the digital transformation in Kuwait, announced its participation as a main sponsor of the honoring ceremony held for high school graduates who achieved academic excellence in Kuwait. The Company’s sponsorship also included the public and private university fair that was held on the sidelines of the event at Salwa Al Sabah Hall, in cooperation with Marina FM radio represented by Hisham Akbar the Vice Chairman & CEO at Gulfsat Communications, and Mohannad Yousef General Manager at Marina FM.
Believing in the power of knowledge as a catalyst in driving innovation and growth, and in line with it values surrounding leadership and self-development, stc proudly supported the initiative. The ceremony was attended by several executives from stc including engineer Maziad Alharbi, CEO of stc, as well as stc’s Corporate Communications team led by Danah AlJasem, General Manager of Corporate Communications at stc. All attending stc employees joined in celebrating and acknowledging the students during the recognition ceremony.
stc participated in honoring 40 high school students who achieved academic excellence amidst the joy and pride of their families, teachers, and officials from the Ministry of Education. Alharbi expressed his happiness and pride in the high achievers during an encouraging and empowering speech that he directed to the graduates. As part of the ceremony, stc distributed valuable prizes to the top 40 positions in terms of academic performance in appreciation of their hard work and excellent achievement.
As part of its initiative to support students, stc set up a booth at the ceremony venue. Through its booth, the Company presented exclusive offers and promotions that were specially tailored for recent graduates. stc representatives at the booth were also available to answer all questions from students and their parents regarding stc’s wide range of offerings. In addition to the booth, stc broadcasted segments from the graduation ceremony on its social media platforms.
stc''s participation came in line with the Company’s extensive corporate social responsibility (CSR) framework that aims to support and back the local education sector, as well as support the initiatives initiated by various entities within the government sector. While giving his speech during the ceremony, Alharbi, CEO of stc, expressed his happiness and pride in having stc celebrate alongside the students at their graduation.
