The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) on Tuesday launched a project for a portal that will document work procedures of the administrative units, and the procedures of all services provided by the ministry in accordance with the latest international standards.
During the launch ceremony of the project, HE the Minister of Justice Masoud bin Mohamed al-Ameri said that the vital project comes out of the ministry's commitment to developing the services it provides. He pointed out that the ministry's strategic plan includes an integrated vision to modernise and develop the procedural system for work.
He added that it is important to have documentation of work procedures in all administrative units to avoid difference in the implementation of the transaction from one employee to another, and then providing the procedures that have been documented and approved with all related data, and other data that pertain to all the activities of the ministry. The knowledge portal is to be a single source of truth for data in the ministry that depends on it for support in decision-making.
The Director of Planning and Quality Department at the ministry, Hessa al-Sulaiti, said the portal, in addition to documenting 696 procedures in all administrative units, is aimed at preparing and updating manuals of services and procedures in all administrative units.
The project also aims to provide an interactive central database that reflects all the data and information related to the activities of the ministry and its related entities, classifying and categorising them in a way that ensures the provision of the required statement with the expected quality in terms of accuracy, speed, and effort required to obtain such data. The portal also provides informational tools and analytical reports that help raise performance efficiency, develop work mechanisms, and achieve speed in decision-making.
