Jordan, Czech Republic Sign Mou For Cooperation In Energy, Minerals Field
AMMAN — The Jordanian and Czech governments on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in the energy and mineral resources field.
The MoU was signed by Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Saleh Kharabsheh and Czech Minister of Industry and Trade Jozef Sikela, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Kharabsheh said that the MoU stipulates cooperation in planning, politics, and energy demand anticipation using economic models, in addition to cooperation in electricity, sustainable energy, and energy efficiency through focusing on energy rationalisation and exchanging expertise in the field of smart grids. The minister noted that the two sides will also cooperate in the fields of industrial minerals, remote sensing technology, geophysical studies, expertise exchange in mining, and conducting technical studies to evaluate and explore minerals. Czech Ambassador to Jordan Joseph Kotski and a number of Czech officials attended the discussions.
