Serbia reassures nations interest in increasing military collaboration with Turkey


(MENAFN) Serbia’s defense minister on Monday reassured the nation’s attentiveness in increasing military collaboration with Turkey.

Defense Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic's comments came in a transcribed statement after conference Turkish Ambassador Hami Aksoy in the capital Belgrade.

Stefanovic highlighted his belief that collaboration among Türkiye and Serbia is going to reinforce both sides’ interests, particularly in military-financial and military-technical relations.

For his part, Aksoy stated that they approved to attend a defense industry collaboration conference in Turkey later in 2022.

Aksoy, adding that they followed up on talks held last October in Turkey among Stefanovic with Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar "Bilateral and regional issues, including the Ukraine crisis, were discussed during the meeting.”
