Former Qatar Player Adel Al Mulla Passes Away

Qatar sports family mourned the death of former Qatar football star Adel Al Mulla (pictured), who passed away after a heart attack in London yesterday.

Tributes from top officials, Qatar stars and football clubs started pouring in after the death of Al Mulla, 51, who played a key role in Qatar's qualification for the Barcelona Olympic Games in 1992.

“May Allah have mercy on our former national team player, Adel Al Mulla, and accept him in the highest paradise. Our condolences to his honourable family. We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return,” the Qatar Olympic Committee President H E Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani tweeted yesterday.

Al Mulla represented Qatar in many international matches and also featured for Al Arabi, Al Khor and Al Rayyan football clubs.
“With hearts reassured by Allah's decree and destiny the Qatar Football Association mourns Adel Al Mulla our former player, who passed away of a heart attack. We extend our deepest condolences to his family and relatives, praying to the Lord may the Almighty bless him with the vastness of his mercy and inspire his family patience and solace. We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return,” the Qatar Football Association tweeted.
