DC Srinagar emphasises on including handloom, handicrafts under Yuva Sahakar scheme
Srinagar, April 27 (KNN) The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad has emphasised on including Handicrafts, Handloom, Employment and other depart under the Yuva Sahakar scheme for its effective implementation.
Chairing a review meeting, he asked the departments to prepare a comprehensive sector wise plans under the scheme within 10 days so that new Cooperative Societies led by the young entrepreneurs are formed.
The agenda of the meeting was to discuss the implementation and monitoring of the 'Yuva Sahakar-Cooperative Enterprise Support and Innovation Scheme' launched by National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) in Srinagar district.
In an effort to spread awareness about the scheme, he directed them to interact with the registered Cooperative Societies in the district and inform them about the objectives and benefits of the scheme.
This will help generate livelihood opportunities to the youth of the district, he said.
The aim of Yuva Sahakar scheme is to motive and encourage youth to start new venture and promote their business. (KNN Bureau)
